Summer Sharing Event with Marienella Phillips

I’m delighted to finally share with you that as part of our Summer Sharing Event this year, we have the joy of being joined by British-Filipino mezzo-soprano, Marienella Phillips.

Marienella will be offering a musical theatre workshop complete with Q&A in the morning, as well as delivering a singing masterclass in the afternoon, which will culminate in a showcase performance to invited guests.

Marienella is a fellow Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama alumni, and David Seligman Opera School graduate, who earlier this year finished a successful run as Tuptim in the critically acclaimed UK tour of The King and I.

Marienella is also an official anthem singer for the Rugby Football Union and Rugby League having sung the English and Welsh National Anthems at various stadiums across the UK, including Twickenham and Ashton Gate for England vs Barbarians, England vs Japan and Red Roses vs Wales.

Alongside her musical endeavours, Marienella is an accomplished stage actress, and is currently playing the role of Jaquenetta in the Royal Shakespeare Company's new production of Love's Labour's Lost with amongst others, Bridgerton’s Luke Thompson.

This event will take place on Saturday 8th June at The All Nations Centre, Cardiff from 10:00am.

Our Sharing Events always prove to be a wonderful day of music making, in a fantastically supportive environment. So if you or someone you know would like to take part, please follow the link below.
